Can I deduct my moving expenses for having to move my mobile home.

You can do this quite easily.  Please keep in mind throughout, however, that it is only the moving expenses incurred for the one-way move that are potentially deductible.  Advance house-hunting expenses, as well as those costs reimbursed by an employer or third-party for example, are not.  You can read more about what is allowed, and allowable, at the following TurboTax webpage:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/tax-tips/General-Tax-Tips/Guide-to-IRS-Form-3903--Moving-Expen...

and also by reading IRS Publication 521 (Moving Expenses) here:

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p521.pdf

Some of the moving expense items that you can legally include may surprise you as well.

Now then, you can get to the correct place in TurboTax where you can mechanically make your data entry by either of the following methods.

Option 1:  Navigate through the main TurboTax menu (tab) tree as follows, Federal Taxes -> Deductions & Credits -> Other Deductions & Credits

Option 2:  Have your tax return open in the TurboTax program and be working anywhere on it.  Next, locate the Find / Search box on your screen, and type in the exact search words "Moving Expenses" and click the button.  A Jump To link should appear directly beneath in the search results.  Click on that link and you'll be transported to the correct interview screen.

Please see the attached screen-capture images at the bottom of this text for a visual guide (simply click the pictures to open).

Also, upon seeing the language in TurboTax about work-related moving expenses, please also remember that moving expenses are only deductible at all when they are work (or employment) related.  However, if you do not have a job already waiting for you in your new home town, then there are exceptions, as long as you begin working again after moving within a certain period of time (please see the related Form 3903 materials above for details).

Finally, if you have further questions, encounter any difficulties, or just want to speak with a live tax expert who can walk you through your TurboTax entries (including the ability to screen-share with your computer), please feel free to contact us.  We would be happy to help you (and as a paying customer, the call is free to you).  Here is a link where you can create a support ticket and reach us:
