Can I deduct haircuts?

Unfortunately, the IRS views haircuts as a personal expense item and doesn't allow a deduction.

I was told haircuts are deductible if your employer has a grooming policy

Can I deduct haircuts?

Whoever told you that was wrong.

Can I deduct haircuts?

I did some research I see some say that haircuts can be a business expense if its in preparation for something like a photo shoot.  Specifically I am doing a photo shoot for a promotional item later today and will be getting a haircut specifically for this purpose. Note I can easily go a month without. In this instance is it a deductible expense?
