Can I claim state tax deduction over $10K?

It looks like my state tax deduction on my federal return was capped at $10K (while I paid $22K)... IS there anyway I can claim the extra $12k I paid in state taxes somewhere else?

no; the SALT limit is $10,000.

that is the whole point of the cap; the rest simply can't be claimed elsewhere.
