Can I claim dental implants done in Thailand?

I paid $30000 for 12 teeth implants in Thailand. If I can claim, what should I do when I have already submitted my 2018 tax return.

Can I claim dental implants done in Thailand?

You can deduct the cost of medical or dental procedures done in another country as long as it is a legal procedure and is not “unnecessary cosmetic surgery”.   Dental implants will generally qualify.  This is the same requirement for procedures done in the US. IRS Publication 502 will give you more information and an extensive list of covered expenses.

You will need to amend you 2018 tax return to deduct these expenses since you have already filed.  See this link - How do I amend a 2018 return in TurboTax?
