Box 14 - New Jersey UI/HC/WD cannot be greater than $151.

Box 14 on my W2 shows as follows:

137.82 FLI

DI P.P#SX-53169

287.78 UI/HC/WD

Upon finalization of my taxes, I get the message to review Box 14 and that New Jersey UI/HC/WD cannot be greater than $151. Per a quick Google search, it seems my employer may have totaled the DI & UI/HC/WD numbers and that is why the amount is over $151 (and there is no listed $ amount for DI - Disability Insurance). How should I proceed? Do I need to go through my employer to get the itemization, or is there a way around this?

I am told that this issue has been resolved. If you are using the Online product, the update has been made automatically. If you are using the CD/download product, be sure to Update the software before using it again.

Hello,

I have just logged into the Turbo Tax and trying to complete my filing but that error is still present.

First, are you using Online or CD/download software?

Second, is it Deluxe, Premier, or Self-employed or Home & Business?

Third, the original question said $151 but these are the actual limits:

  • UI/WF/SWF — $150.03;
  • DI — $350.74;
  • FLI — $215.84.

See this NJ webpage.

Were you at or under each of these numbers?

Hello,

I am using it online.

 My W2 has the amount greater than $151 for NJ SUI EE.

According to this form from NJ.gov, "$151 is the maximum amount that can be claimed.  it states in the form If the amount deducted by any one employer exceeds the maximum for either UI/WF/SWF, disability insurance, or family leave insurance, enter the maximum in the appropriate column(s) and contact that employer for a refund of the balance of the deduction."

I'm having same problem.

When this issue is going to be resolved?

Box 14 - New Jersey UI/HC/WD cannot be greater than $151.

Find out from your employer what the correct entries should be on your W-2 box 14.  Ask for a corrected W-2 with the amount for UI/HC/WD correctly listed.
