The Annual Geek Squad fee is deductible as a business expense if it is for computers/equipment that is used for business. Whether you utilize the service or not does not matter.
Are you self-employed? Is the Geek Squad coming to work on computers you use for business? If you are talking about having the Geek Squad come and fix your personal computer(s), that is not deductible. That is a personal expense.
Yes, if they are used strictly for your business. If you use some services for business then you must determine the business use percentage and take only that as a deduction.
If this is a personal expense then there would be no deduction.
Below are some helpful links to assist with other business expenses.
Didn't need to read thousands of words, Just needed to know if it is or not. There are enough perhaps, maybes, sometimes, could, should, documents, reports, etc. I know, it's all designed for the taxpayer to just give up.
Thanks, but that was level 101 for people who have never used Turbotax and never done their business expenses. I apologize for apparently sounding like a person who has no clue and not someone who has been using Turbotax since 2007 for business and personal. Was asking about one thing only.
I wanted to know if the $200 annual fee for Geek Squad, whether you use them or not, is deductible. I assume the answer is no. PS The links are great for someone who isn't using Turbotax. Every one of those topics are clearly defined at every step along the way.

Well, of course, it covers a few other things in the house as well (Home Office). I'll just skip this though it's a good $200. It's virtually impossible to figure out what portion of it would be home and what would be office. Thanks though.

Personal living expenses are never tax deductible. You can deduct ordinary and necessary business expenses if you are self-employed. That includes computer maintenance agreements. However, if you have a mixed expense, it is up to you to allocate the expense between business and personal use. If audited, you can be asked to show how you made that allocation. The IRS does not have to award any expense deduction unless you can prove it with what they consider to be reliable and accurate records.
