Advanced Premium Tax Credit

Filing tax return 2018.  Need to repay $600 on Form 8962 for overpayment of Advance Premium Credit (APC). Have an Earned Income credit which nets to a refund of return in total (>$600).  Will mail tax return.  Will there be an issue will repayment of APC (because it is overdue)?

Since you are getting a refund there should be no problem.

As Bsch4477 said, if you are getting a refund, there won't be a problem.

Look at it this way - the overpayment of Advance Premium Credit has already been repaid (by your Earned Income Credit). This is a matter of money moving from one bucket to another in Washington.

What you are doing now is the paperwork to formalize this result.
