Hello

I bought my tesla model y long range 2021/6/24 . Is it eligible for EV credit? I did not get any credit last year.

IRS Website said that purchasing before 2022 may qualify, so i'm wonder i'm qualifying EV credit.

If the vehicle was placed in service in 2021 the credit cannot be claimed on a 2022 tax return.

No Tesla purchased in 2020, 2021 or 2022 qualifies for this credit because Tesla sold the 200,000th qualified vehicle in 2018 and the credit phased out throughout 2019.

Some Teslas purchased in 2023 and beyond might qualify due to the changes to Section 30D of the tax code made by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.
