I received a 1099-MISC with an amount in box 3/Other Income. I'm not sure what it is for. There doesn't seem to be a way to show that it is a joint 1099 or how to indicate the payer or enter the amount. It tells me to revisit. How do I know if I can ignore this 1099?

Who is it from and how nuch?
On the form itself, there should be a payor name. You would need to contact the company that issued the 1099-Misc to find out what it is for.
Was this form sent to both of you or just one of you? If it is for both of you, you can either enter it twice splitting the amount in box 3 or you can give it all to one person if you are filing a joint return as it will not make a difference on your return.
You cannot ignore this 1099, if it was sent to you. If it is income you actually received, you will need to include it on your return. If it was sent to you in error, then you will need to contact the issuer to have them retract it.
