1031 exchange : i sold the property in 2016 and completed the exchange in 2017 - what forms are filled with my 2016 taxes and which if any with my 2017 return?

Form 8824 is filled out for 2016. Nothing needs to be filled out for 2017 (unless the property was transferred to a Related Party).
