Yes. TurboTax uses the most recent information when calculating your 2021 estimated taxes. If you want to add or adjust the amounts, then you are able to do so in TurboTax.
I will provide instruction below for both the federal estimated taxes (if you need them and haven't completed them yet), as well as the West Virginia estimated tax instructions.
Please follow these steps to generate federal vouchers:
- With your tax return open, search for 1040-es (be sure to include the dash) and select the Jump to link.
- Answer Yes to the question Do you want to change your W-4 withholdings for 2021?
- Answer the questions about things like your 2021 filing status, income, and deductions.
- Eventually, you'll come to the Estimated Taxes for 2021 screen.
- Click Prepare Now.
- Once complete, you will get to Print Vouchers? screen. Answer Yes and TurboTax will include your 2021 1040-ES payment vouchers when you print a copy of your return.
Please follow these steps to generate state vouchers:
- Click on State on the left hand side.
- Go through the screen interview.
- On the page Do you Want to Pay West Virginia Estimated Taxes for 2021? answer Yes.
- Follow the on-screen instruction.
- Your West Virginia estimated tax vouchers will print with your return.
