Wont efile state taxes

Efiled federal taxes, did not file state at that time.  Now when trying to efile state taxes, Turbo Tax won't allow me to efile state tax without "marking" the federal taxes.  Does not give me the option to select federal taxes on the required screen

mine is doing the same thing.  nobody has a solution!

Although you can e-file your federal and state taxes together, if you choose to e-file your federal first, you'll have to wait until that return has been accepted before you can e-file your state.

Once your federal return has been accepted you should be able to e-file your New York State return. 

To e-file your return:

1. In TurboTax Online, sign in to your account.
2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
4. Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right area).
5. Select File in the left menu (expand your browser window if you don't see this, or select the menu icon in the top left corner).
6. On the Just one more step screen, follow steps 1 and 2 if you haven't already.
7. Select the Start button to the right of Step 3.
8. On the Let's get ready to e-file screen, select I want to e-file.
9. Follow the instructions to e-file your return.

Will those instructions work for any state?  I’m not filing in New York.

My federal taxes have been processed

I also do not have turbo tax online so those instructions do not help.  I still cant process my state even though my federal return has been accepted

This is a known issue that is currently being updated.

Having the same issue as some others when trying to file my state return after already filing my Federal. Not only have I received federal acceptance, I have received my refund. The form indicates that the federal has been transmitted on the same page that I selected to file the state. What is the remedy for the issue?

Tried filing NY state taxes and getting error message " Can't efile your return  because we are unable to locate the attachment at . Please reattach it.

How do I fix this ?
