The place to enter it is as an estimated tax payment on the California return. Go to Deductions & Credits in the FEDERAL area and select Estimated Taxes. Select the State Estimated Payments and you would enter the amount you paid online in the 3rd quarter line (assuming the payment was made in the July to August time period) and modify the date paid from 9/15/2022 to the date you actually paid.
A couple of caveats:
(a) I sincerely hope you entered it as a 2022 estimated tax payment and not something else such as a payment for year 2021.
(b) It may be useful to fill in CA form 5805 and quite possibly the annualized income option in the event that your withholdings and estimated tax payment didn't cover the required percentages of what CA required to be paid during the year. See
