Washington is not on the state list and it won't let me complete the form without filling in the state box even though we have no state sales tax. Anyone know a bypass?

Let's clarify. WA has no state tax. We have no program since it does not exist.
WA does have state sales tax, see Sales & use tax rates | Washington Department of Revenue
If you are doing itemized deductions for sales tax, WA should be there and you can enter the correct rate for your area.
If you are doing something else, what?

Leave boxes 15-17 blank on your W-2 data entry.
