TT Business 2021 won't let me complete my California 100-S

I filed form 1120-S last night for federal. Anyone else having this problem with California? Return is due today. Thanks.

Please clarify what error you are seeing when you attempt to e-file your California business return.

Hi, Patricia--

 

The exact message is:

 

     "You haven't finished this return yet. Return to your program to finish, and then you should be able to file."

 

I hit the Continue button, get the message "We're ready to file your taxes", select E-file and go through the drill again.

Since the message implies your California return isn't finished, you might review the forms in your State return to see if there are error messages.

  1. Click the Forms icon in the TurboTax header.
  2. Click the Errors icon above the list of forms in the left column.
  3. Scroll down to the California forms.
  4. Click on any forms with red exclamation points.
  5. When the form opens in the large window, and explanation of the error appears in the footer under the form.
  6. Look for fields highlighted in pink.
  7. You may check boxes or enter numbers in any field that is blue. A green font indicates imported information. Anything in black comes from another form or worksheet and cannot be changed.
  8. When you have resolved all errors, use Step-by-Step to go back to your return.
  9. Run the State review again to be sure you have nothing else to fix.
  10. Save your return. Close TurboTax, then reopen your return.
  11. Try e-filing your State return again.

TT Business 2021 won't let me complete my California 100-S

Reopened the file today and installed updates. TT allowed me to purchase the state return and I was able to complete it. This option was not available back in March for some reason.
