@tylermartinez94 - yes you will have to file a non-resident tax return in NY in 2023.  

HOWEVER, why did you move to Florida?  if it was  for your convenience (i.e. it was not a move required by the employer), you still are required to pay tax to NY/ NYC,  That is the NY State law. 

Suggest resolving with your payroll department first - it may be the reason the change request was not approved.
