system freezes when trying to pay for state efile

cant efile state return because turbotax payment system freezes

Support just helped me figure out the same issue and we were able to get it to work so I hope it may work for you too.

Right click on your desktop and select Display Settings.

Scroll down to Display Resolution (make a note of your current resolution so you can change it back once done)

Select 1024 x 768 and accept to keep the changes

Your screen images may look different due to this.

Close out and restart Turbotax, you should then be able to click through and purchase the state efile.

Once filing is complete you can go back and reset the display to the original settings.

fix worked!  You would think Turbo/Intuit would alert users - but they did not
