State taxes status still pending

I have a simple question. I owed money to state. My state return status still says pending, however, my state tax payment was debited 2 days ago. Does that mean my return was accepted and TT just hasn’t updated my return status?

Check your state refund site for the latest information. TurboTax may not be up to date.

States process returns and payments separately because they want your money ASAP, so it’s entirely possible your state will credit your payment before your return is processed.
