State tax for WA internship

College student that is claimed as a dependent on our taxes did a 12wk internship in WA. Do they need to file state taxes in WA? Income is reported on federal taxes, W2 withholding shows in the state of domicile.

Washington does not have an individual state income tax so you do not need to file a Washington Tax return.
