I was a FL resident when I took a job in KY in the 2024 tax year. My spouse & I file jointly. I was in KY for 2 months in the tax year until we purchased a property and established permanent residency in the 2024 TY. As I complete this year's return, I see that in filing jointly, it's classing the entire tax year on both of us when it was only myself residing out of state for 2 months. What's the best way to approach this? Thank you

If you file a joint tax return, you have to choose a state of residency for both of you. You would likely be a part-year resident of both states and should file as such if you file joint state tax returns. Otherwise, you could file separate state tax returns. In that case, you would be a part-year resident of both states and your spouse would only file a resident return in Maryland, assuming he or she did not move to Kentucky during the year.
"...we purchased a property and established permanent residency in the 2024 TY."
Then you are both part-year residents of KY for 2024. You would file a part-year resident KY tax return and allocate to KY all your joint income after becoming KY residents plus all the income you earned by working in KY before you became a KY resident.
