State tax amended filing problem

I had to amend my Federal Income tax. My state tax came up as also amended in Turbo tax but I never filed the original state tax. What should I do to change the state tax form from amended to not amended?

Do you you have a paper copy of the original state tax return?  It will be helpful to have a paper copy of the original state tax return either:

• To mail in, or
• To know what to correct the state tax from version 2 back to version 1.

If your amendment of the Federal tax return has changed the state numbers, you eventually may need to file the amended state tax return.

You can amend your state tax return without filing an amendment for your Federal.  See this TurboTax Help to revert your state tax return version 2 back to version 1.  You will amend only the state form using the paper copy as your guide.
