State File Rejected - How to reEfile State without reEfiling Federal?

My Federal was accepted but my IL state was rejected.  I have fixed the issue, but TT won't let me refile the state alone.  Anyone know how to refile the state only?  When I try to file the state alone, it says it cannot be E-filed before the federal.  Even though the Federal was already filed and accepted.  Please Help.

Yes you are correct, you federal return must be accepted before you can e-file your state.  Sometimes clearing the cache and cookies handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis.  First close your return and follow the steps below to see that you need to do depending on the version of TurboTax you are using:

• If using TurboTax Online: Clear your cache and cookies. See this FAQ, for your particular browser.
  • You can also try using a different browser
• If using TurboTax Desktop: Please see this FAQ.
  • Make sure you have ran all the updates
