state e-filing

I e-filed our federal return, but then decided I also wanted to e-file the state return after the federal was already filed. I paid the $24.99 fee but when I clicked on e-file for the state return, the message said I had to do both at the same time, but the federal was already sent.  What do I do now? Can I e-file the state return, or get my $24.99 back?

    It depends.

You will need to wait until your federal return is accepted before you will be able to electronically file your state tax return.  Please see below for additional information.

How do you e-file your state return after your federal return has been e-filed

If you determine you need to mail in your state tax return but have already paid for the state e-file, you will need to contact us so an agent can discuss your account with you.
