An error on a state worksheet appeared when trying to e-file. It tells me the first name cannot be directly keyed into the state worksheet (PA Information Worksheet) and must be keyed into the federal return, not into the state worksheet.
So, during the state return review, 2 corrections were needed to the FIRST NAME only. It stated that you should not key it directly, so I cleared the first name out of the field (left it blank). Then, it stated that there is a missing field (FIRST NAME). So, I keyed it in again. Tried to e-file again, and same error. So, it is a loop.
Went to the federal return and all first name information is there. I'm not sure why it will not accept my keying the first name into the state worksheet, but this appears to be the only thing preventing the e-filing from being successful. Please help. I can't leave the name blank and I can't key it without getting errors. How do you get the first name to transfer from the federal return?....all other name and address appears to have transferred over to the state return. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Daniel,
Took your advice and tried to contact Turbo Tax directly and the phone application is hanging up on me and telling me to use Community to get answers. You are telling me the opposite, to contact Turbo Tax by Contact Us. Just getting the run around and not getting to a person that I can show my return to. This is of an urgent matter, so I need to speak to a TurboTax support rep asap. Please email me with a direct phone number to someone who I can share my screen with. The first name should not be the reason I can't efile. Thank you in advance!
