Split state wage problem

I worked a a per diem job as a W-2 employee for a client. I live in NJ, the work was done in NY.

I received two W-2 forms, one for each state, and Turbo Tax was able to pull it in through the payroll company's platform as one W-2 with two states.

It appears that NJ is taxing me on double the amount, though. There is a screen that shows up in the NJ return wizard that shows the NJ and NY State IDs, the Box 16 info for each (same amount of money, it was one single check) and then a box for each state that says "Remove These Wages"

I did the math and my NJ return is showing more money than I actually made, and the discrepancy is this exact amount of money from this check. Am I supposed to "Remove These Wages" for the NY side of it, and will that recalculate the wage income that NJ is showing on the state return?

Yes.  Click on the NY box so that those wages are not included on the NJ return.
