I received a credit of $1137 on the 2017 Utah taxes. However, am still owed $863 as a carry over credit for this year (2018). How is this entered into the 2018 Utah tax form? I don't see any carry over line that will allow me to get this credit.

Go to the Utah state interview in TurboTax.
Proceed through the interview until you come to a screen with the title of "Let's Check for Other Utah Credits".
Click "yes".
On the next screen that asks for Credit Description and Amount, use "Renewable residential energy system" for the credit description. Put the carryover in the amount field.
After this, check your return to see if all the solar credit was taken, in case this generated an additional carryover (you have 4 years available after the initial purchase).
