Hello
The Online Turbo Tax software made a calculation error in totaling the 1099-INT in the "Income Summary" section of my 2024 tax return. It is off by more than $200,000.
I went back and re-checked my entries. Also, I added the total 1099-INT income and came up with a different amount. I'm not sure how to correct this error.
Thank you.

Delete the 1099INT and enter them again Manually. That should fix it especially if you imported any. Sounds like a decimal point got missed.
I manually entered the interest income, as well as Dividend income. However, the Turbo Tax software is placing the wrong information on Schedule B for Dept. of the Treasury interest earned. It is correctly entered on Form 1099-INT Worksheet for each of us.
I cannot change the line items which are in error by the software when it makes these calculations. I checked my entries in the simple dialog.
I can't complete my taxes until this is fixed.
I can upload hard copies of the Schedule B and the Form 1099-INT Worksheet.
Help!
Better send a diagnostic copy of your return so they can see what’s going on. Use the post above to get a token number and post it here in the forum.
How do I send a diagnostic copy of my return?
The "Income Summary" has the wrong tabulation for the interest on 1099-INT.
Turbo Tax is placing the wrong info for Department of the Treasury on the Schedule B, which is inflating our total interest income for 2024.
That still isn’t clear about what’s wrong with the treasury interest on Schedule B. To send them a copy of your return scroll up, KeshaH posted the steps. Then post the token number you get here in the forum.
Let’s start over. Why did you get Treasury interest? Did you also get the same interest from a bank like if you cashed in savings bonds? Did you import any 1099 forms? They may have imported wrong. Delete them and enter them again Manually. That usually fixes it. In fact I would delete all the 1099 INT forms, then make sure Schedule B is zero, then add them in and check B after each one.
Interest can come from other places like a K-1 or 1099Div. Look at all the lines in the 1099INT & 1099DIV sections.
Sorry, I needed to make only one entry for the "Interest earned on Saving Bonds or Treasuries" for the proper calculation.
Are you ok now?
