1)  SC forms (for e-file) are not expected to be ready until AFTER 6 January

2)  Ability to print the final SC forms not expected until After 15 January.

3)  Perhaps the 529 deduction Q&A will be ready after the 15th...look for it in the menu in one of the SC deductions or Credit sections after the 15th....it's likely in that section of the SC Q&A.  The "guided" interview may not ask for it, you ight have to see it in the menu.

4) in any case DO Not e-file before the Federal/IRS actually starts "Accepting" and processing ta file...end of January at the earliest.....Better yet...mid February.

@DaveT315   might know the details better if he is posting help for SC this year.

There is no federal deduction for making a contribution to a 529 plan. Some states allow a deduction on the state return. If your state is one, it will come up in the state interview; usually in the "Here's how (your state) handles income differently" section.
