Requested direct deposit and Georgia only sends out checks to first time state returnees—got all other returns—is this causing the delay?

As you know, first-time tax filers in Georgia get a check instead of direct deposit (this is presumably to cut down on tax fraud). See https://georgia.gov/popular-topic/tax-refunds

In large scale printing operations, checks are often queued up to run in batches, which will add a delay (big or small depends on the operation). And, of course, mailing the check through the Post Office, will add a several day delay.

Please look at the link above for a way to check the status of your Georgia refund.

CX Does not have option to Direct Deposit, only receive refund by mail. NOT a first time file with GA, IS first time GA file with TT. Is there a work around?

Which TurboTax program are you using?  The TurboTax online web-based editions or the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions installed on a personal computer?
