I live in NJ but work in NY. During 2022 I worked from home for a portion of the year.
My company sent me several multi state statements showing the number of hours that I worked at home in NJ. Each statement covered a number of months. The last statement showed the number of hours through September 15. None of this is reflected on the company's w-2.
On these multi state statements, there is a phrase that says "If, by the middle of December, the hours in these states exceed the minimum reporting requirements for that particular state you will receive additional information" etc.
The number of hours would be greater than half a year so I wonder what are the minimum reporting requirements for NY and NJ and do I have to show this on my tax return.
Thank,
