I recently took a new job with the government and work in GA at a federal office but bought a home and live in Florida. Due to covid I have been working almost 95% of the time from home in Florida. Can I claim Florida for my state taxes for the time that I have been in Florida and the days in GA working (around 40 total days since February 2021) pay that to GA?

Yes. Based on your living situation, you file a non resident GA return and pay income tax only on the income earned while you physically worked there.
This was true, even before Covid.
Thanks, yes I am a FL resident and own a house the entire time I have been with this position. The position is a full time position in GA with the federal government but due to covid I have been working mostly telework from Florida at my house. There has only been a handful of times I had to go to GA, around 40 days total.
