Do I have to pay $39.99 more for another state program because I worked out of state for 4 weeks in 2019? There is no way around it? It looks like I can't continue unless I purchase another State Program? That is the same cost as the full Deluxe Program with one state???

If you didn't pay the other state any State Income Tax, you don't need to file a return in that state.
If you did pay tax and want it refunded, file a Non-Resident State Return and report only the Income and Tax for that state.
When you file your Resident State return, include all of your income from 2019 (from all states) and report any tax you paid to another state.
See if you qualify for the Free File Program, where you can prepare and file your Federal and one State for free.
Hi thanks for the answer...TurboTax will not let me continue because the Non-Resident State, which this would be, is also part of the Federal Return....so it appears I'm stuck paying the $39.99 to receive a $5 refund....maybe this is a TurboTax/Intuit question?
You can Delete the Non-Resident State from your Return.
Click the link for instructions on How to Delete a State Return.
But don't I still have to include as Income in Federal return?
Yes!
Okay...so I guess I got to purchase another State Program in the TurboTax because it is part of the whole return...thanks!
