Does anybody know when the residency questionnaire attached to form 1NPR will be corrected?
In my case, it classifies both (resident) filer and (non-resident) spouse as non-resident - even though I answered the interview questions correctly. I was told this is a "known issue" by customer service at the weekend. I am so frustrated - I already had to wait so long for this form to be available and now it doesn't even work correctly. I just want to be able to file my forms :(
If i could just manually edit the form, I would be done in five seconds flat. I am so annoyed.

I am able to report a taxpayer with wages, pension and Social Security living all twelve months in Wisconsin.
I am able to report a spouse with Social Security income living all twelve months in Indiana.
The tax return Reviews with no errors.
Wisconsin 1NPR correctly reports the Resident status as explained above. Line 28 shows the subtraction from Wisconsin income and lines 30 through 32 compute the percentage of Wisconsin income / Federal income so as to compute the net Wisconsin tax.

I found it helpful to ignore the request for dates for the Indiana resident.
I also ignored this request for dates for the Indiana resident.
Please advise if I did not address your specific situation.
How does the residency questionnaire that you must file with 1NPR look? Mine checks both spouses off as non resident even though interview questions answered correctly.
Note you can’t see this error until TurboTax generates the pdf returns just ahead of filing.
Literally this is the only thing that is wrong. I know it is trivial, but I will not knowingly submit an incorrectly filled document.
I reported the taxpayer lived in Wisconsin and the spouse lived in Indiana.
This is the Legal Residence (Domicile) Questionnaire that was generated.
I'm glad it works for you. I guess just a weird set of circumstances for me means it is bugging out. Was told by customer service that the known issue would "definitely" be solved on Monday. Hah. I will probably end up e-filing direct with the state.
I just ran into the same issue. This may work if you were a Wisconsin resident for the full year but it is not working correctly if you moved to Wisconsin in 2022. I hope this gets fixed as it is the only thing holding up my taxes.
Thanks for the reply. I am sorry it is also happening to you. They told me on 3/4 that it would be fixed by 3/6, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
I got fed up of waiting so used the handy e-file feature on the WI DoR website. It was so quick and easy. I will definitely be saving my $$ next year by not paying Turbotax and just e-filing for free. It is actually scandalous how much Turbotax charges you for something which is so straightforward. You don't know 'til you know, I guess.
