I don't know what number this is, but rejected again. Is there someplace I can manually enter my information on the form instead of it porting it over. I frickin done with this, it's always something every year!
I’m in PA and having this same issue. Did you figure anything out yet?
Nope, saw someone saying it was ADP (site that handles payroll etc for a lot of companies) uploaded it wrong to the state. I think I'll be better off just printing and mailing it in.
You will need to check your W-2 entries compared to the import entries. The import can cause some errors to occur when importing. To view your W-2 entries, follow these steps:
If all entries are correct, follow up with your HR department to confirm the W-2 you received matches what was reported to the state.
@Talley1971
Seriously! And I want my $19 back that it charged me to file!
Still no luck. Everything IS correct. I have reached out to my company HR, so we'll see.
Hello,
I am having the same issue but I am fairly certain the issue is in 18, the system automatically put my federal taxes with-held, but it should be the total income. Since in that city is where I made the income. So I replaced with my wages etc. Left everything else the same.
I have been cross-eyed looking for what is wrong. I did find that TurboTax my local income was the same amount as my federal tax. I have changed that and resubmitted. This IS NOT a problem when the employer uploaded it. It's a straight up bug in TT. I should have known, because when I started to file it had my first name as my first and middle initial and I had to change that, even though it's right on my W2. Seriously, TurboTax, get your crap together.....the tax check at the end should have caught this.
If it works for you can you tell me exactly what you did? I just cannot figure this out to save my life. It doesn’t help that if I delete the whole state and try again, it won’t let me type my own info in, it just ports it over for me. Ugh
So far, it has not kicked it back..... usually has by now. I'm assuming that what I did this time is what fixed it. I looked it over every single time and swear that it was correct then. Box 18 had the same amount as my State Income Tax (box 17) I changed it to the correct amount. Again not a problem with my W2 or it being uploaded. This was straight up TT. Again, the final check should have caught it.
Solved: Delete your W2's both where you enter the information and under documents uploaded. Now instead of uploading the document, manually enter all the information.
I did this after no help from Turbo Tax, and it worked first time like a charm. Good luck
Alright guys, was finally able to get it through to accepted. I went back in to the federal return and manually entered the correct amount for box 18, and then saved it. Then made sure box 18 matched in the state return as well. The auto upload messed up the box 18 numbers for the federal return and that’s why I was getting the rejection for state any time I submitted.
Hope this helps others!
Had the same problem rejected and was told to check box 18 reviewed it and was still rejected i went to wages and income and deleted the w-2 and type everything in manually an it was accepted
I'm having the same issue
What do I click on to edit it?
