did you move from that state to the current one in 2020? if so, the issue is that you probably have to file a part-year return for your current state to exclude the w-2 from the previous one. we can not see your w-2's or return.
We do not know what two states you are talking about. Did you live in one state and work in another state? Or did you move from one state to another during 2020? If you work in one state and live in another, you need to prepare the non-resident state return first so that your resident state gives you credit for any tax withheld or paid to the non-resident state.
