When I log on to the State of Virginia's website to check the status of my return, I get a message at the top of the page that tells me to Verify that the SSN, tax year and expected refund amount entered are correct. I have done all of that. The SSN is correct as is the year. And so is the amount based on what Turbo Tax indicates. I filed on 1/26 so it has been more than the 72 hours. Can someone check to see if anything is wrong?

You are taking the correct steps by checking the Virginia tax agency's website or calling them to check on the status of your return.
The Virginia website states that electronic returns can take up to 2 weeks to process.
You would be notified via email through TurboTax if your return was rejected, and the reason.
Not really. I understand that it can take up to two weeks. But, the only indication I have it has been accepted is from TurboTax. The states website give no indication that it has been accepted.
Virginia can be a little slower to show an update.
I can attest to this personally, as I have a Virginia return as well. Mine is also indicating the same error you are encountering. It did this last year as well, and then 1-2 days before the refund hit my bank account is when their site finally updated. You can call them if you want to invest in an answer, and their representative can give a better timeline. @craigboogy
