Hi there,
In my W2, I just realized there is two school district on it A ($200) & B ($600).
I only live in district A, and since company is at B, they also charge district B. Both has the same amount of tax rate @ 1%.
1. Do i just add the two school district in the form ? Right now, I only have A, and I have tax due to school at #350. I feel that , if i add SD B, i dont have to pay tax or pay lesser?
2. I believe last year 2020, is the same thing, but i did not add the SD B in turbotax. can i claim it back?
Do, i file it as credit carryover for school district (B)?
Hope someone can help out!

What state are you in?
If Ohio, you have to file two SD returns, SD-A to pay full tax and SD-B to get a full refund. Talk to you employer, they should not be withholding SDIT for SD-B. Unlike Ohio city income tax, you do not pay tax to the SD you work in. You only pay SDIT to your residence SD.
Verify that what you think is SD-B tax isn't really city tax for the city your employer is located in. You don't have to file a work city tax return, but they are allowed to withhold city tax (but not SD income tax).
It depends. You should include all information on your W-2 in TurboTax. You should file all the necessary returns. Since I do not know what state you live in and what the rules are for working in one district and living in another district, you may be able to claim it back by filing a return for SD B. Again I cannot be definite as I do not know the rules.
All you can do is file a return for both SD A & B and see what happens.
Let me include, i live in ohio, SD 0601, Employer SD 0602
Hal_AL, looks like you might have answered my question.
It probably is what it is. They put the SD-A on one line, and line below they put the employer city.
I did the tax/wage and it is correct.
Thanks!

A. No. You'll have to file 2020 SD100, for SD0602, to get a refund.
For 2021, be sure to enter lines 18-20, for both SDs, at the W-2 screen, to get credit for the withholding. You won't be able to e-file the SD100s (I think). They will have to be printed and mailed.
