When I filed my online taxes the account number I submitted was correct but the State claimed it was incorrect.  It was the same account number submitted to Feds.  How do I fix the problem with the State?

What account number?  EIN?  For W-2 or something else?  Many times employers and payors have different numbers for the state and the federal.   Double check the numbers that are on your forms.

Forgot to mention, bank account number for electronic deposit (which is correct on the form).  Every tax year they say the same thing,"account number incorrect."  Fed goes through without a problem.  I don't see any directions for correcting the issue on the State website.

You would need to call the state treasury department to see what is happening.  They may be able to tell you why their system is rejecting your bank account number.
