I have made 3 quarterly payments to NC for my state income taxes. Where do I enter this information in order to reduce the interest payment?

You enter your state estimated tax payments in the Federal section and they will flow through to your state return.

You can enter the state estimated taxes you paid by following these steps:

1. In TurboTax, open your tax return
2. Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then Deductions & Credits on top of the screen
3. Scroll down to All tax breaks, locate the section named Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click Show more
4. Click on Start next to Estimated Tax Payments
5. On the next page, click Start next to State estimated taxes for 2019.
