I received an email today that my e-filed NYS tax return was rejected due to a Turbo Tax software error. I am trying to work through the process. Note: it would be easier if your instructions could be printed out. So, as instructed, I went to the Federal tab; Wages and Income; Retirement: 1099R forms. I receive a distribution from a standard retirement account. When I look at the list of options for indicating the type of account, most of the options are related to government plans. I do not see one that corresponds to my standard retirement account.

Has Turbo Tax fixed the error so I can re-submit my NYS return?
Did you receive an email from us explaining what the error was and what corrections you may need to resolve it? If you have please follow the email and then you can re-file your tax return. If not please await the email instructions.
Has this issue been resolved? We created a ticket and the ticket was closed without any further follow up. The Turbo Tax software wants to include Retirement as income. We went from receiving a return to owing, which is not correct.
In New York, some retirement income is taxed, while other retirement income is not. This is why TurboTax has to ask for the source of the retirement income (it does this right after you enter the 1099-R).
What is the retirement income that is being taxed in New York that you think should not be taxed?
This is an annoying, time-consuming problem. When will it be fixed?
