Kentucky State Tax Error

When doing the review to e file an error popped up? It said I had an error of a missing EIN or SSN for the dependent care credit and was not eligible to e file. However, I did not claim this credit and it never offered me an option to correct it. I have been through everything multiple times now and can't find it anywhere. What can I do so I can e file this return?

Exact issue and it also seems like even if I continue it doesn’t want to do a direct deposit to my bank like the federal tax but instead gives the option of using credit karma checking or mailing the check. So annoying was really hoping to file this weekend. Really hope it gets figured out.

Same issue 02/06 14:30. Chatted with Intuit support and she said to mail the printed Kentucky tax forms. Going to what a while to see if the error clears and I'm able to submit electronically.

Yes, I was given option to mail, also. But I already paid to E-FILE STATE & FEDERAL My federal already ACCEPTED by IRS

I'm having the same issue as well. I chatted with a Live agent and was advised to try again on 2/11/2022 as it should be fixed by then.

But really this should be a simple True/false check in the code on whether you have dependents or not. I'm surprised this issue wasn't fixed within hours of it being reported. A bit disappointed that such a glaring issue made it through. I've always used Turbo Tax, but may have to switch to a different company to file taxes in the future

I am having the same issue. I do not have any dependents and made sure to specify that in the form. I spoke with customer support, and they were very friendly and helpful. This is a known issue and is expected to be resolved around 2/10. TurboTax should automatically update every time you log out and log back in.

Thank you for the update that you got from them. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why it would take almost a week to sort this problem out. The 10th is Thursday for goodness sake’s. I started having this problem on Friday.

I am having same issue. I have tried contacting turbo tax but am getting no help. Guess if not fixed I'll have to use another company. Been with turbo tax for over 10 years. Oh well

They need to take the “solved“ off of the top of that post. I’ve been having this issue since Friday. And someone else said they spoke with a representative & they said it would be fixed around the 10th. That’s Thursday. Which means this problem will have been going on for almost a week. This is TurboTax for goodness sake‘s! You would think they would have a team of programmers at any given moment to fix this issue. 🤦🏼‍♀️
