Greetings,
Just E-filed both Federal and State (MA). Federal requires Form 8453 to be mailed with Form 8949 and Brokerage Supplemental Info. Will do. My question: Should I send a copy of all this (8453, 8949...) in mail to Massachusetts DOR also? TurboTax doesn't say to mail it but I wonder if Massachusetts will know the correct cost basis on stock sales if I don't. Does Massachusetts E-file include an entire IRS tax return from TurboTax?
Thank you!

No, you do not have to send the 8949 to Massachusetts- they piggyback off your federal tax return so they will receive the information from the IRS filing.

Thank you, Mary. Such a prompt response. I'm impressed.
