I have entered my contributions to my grandchildren's
Wi state sponsored college savings program and a tax form has been generated for each one, but when I look at my state deduction for my contributions there is nothing so that info is not transferring to my subtractions to income. I don't understand why not because the individual tax forms have been generated and print when
I look at the tax return.
Whats wrong?

Have you checked to make sure you program is updated?
You can do this by select the Online menu at the top.
Then select Check for Updates.
This may update your program.
If it does not, the other option is to delete the input and re-enter it. Sometimes this also resolves the issue and allows you to proceed with your return.
In Wisconsin the 529 Deduction is part of the calculation of your Taxable State Income. It is not a Refundable Credit.
So, if your Taxable State Income is already at zero (or is brought down to zero) with this deduction, the remaining 529 deduction, does not generate a refund.
Check your taxable income.
My state income is 62000 and the deduction for the savings program is only about a total of $4000. I was wondering if there was something wrong with the turbo program
The amount allowed as a deduction is up to 3,280 per adult per student, but may be adjusted for withdrawals.
What amount did you contribute? Were there any withdrawals?
Below is a link with more information:
I'm divorced so the max is 1640 and I contributed $1500. but was not going to get but about 650 per person deduction for the five grandchildren. I've done this for many years and depending on my income there is carryover some years. I've used turbo tax for many years and The deduction has always shown up in the subtractions from income but did not this year. I can't figure out why. I've even redone the taxes and it doesn't go into the subtractions from income. I'm thinking the program could have a flaw this year.
No withdrawals they are all too young.

Yes I update as soon as it tells me there is an update. I have gone back to check a copy of my Wi return and there is still nothing in line 33(contributions to a Wisconsin state-sponsored college savings program) I then check schedule CS College Savings Accounts for each grandchild and it shows the amount of deduction for this year and the carryover to 2020. but line 6 (allowable subtraction) does not automatically fill in on line 33 of schedule m (subtractions to income) Very frustrating! I could fill in the total amounts,I hope by hand but I shouldn't have to do that, thats why I think it is something to do with the program.
I appreciate the help that the tax experts are offering but is not the problem.
Thanks, and I hope we find the answer
I am seeing the exact same thing and I use the online version. I have also never had an issue with this.
In your desktop version, please go to the entry area for the WI 529. Then click on FORMS mode. Is the schedule CS showing up? If so, line 10 or line 18 should have your information. Is there something preventing the deduction? What are you seeing? The desktop version can be forced to comply but it breaks the accuracy guarantee.
I have checked for known errors and nothing is showing. Yet, when I tried, it forced mine into a carryover.
Can you please get a token for us to look at your returns, minus any private data?
If you are online, go to tools > share file with agent > 6 digit number pops up. Reply with it here.
If on desktop, go to online >send tax file to agent > number pops.
