Hi, I'm not looking for help with this. There is a problem is with Turbotax's validation on this field. I'm adding support, by mentioning my own experience, to the other people pointing this out.

This is silly.  It took almost 2 hours out of my day to confirm the error.  PLEASE FIX IT.  IT IS A SIMPLE FIX.

I called intuit support and they told me to leave the field blank.  I was able to file electronically.

Turbo Tax has this issue every year.  They require a 12 digit SOS number, beginning with 19 or 20, or they will not efile your return in CA.  Mine is a 7 digit corporate number, I do not have a 12 digit number.  I have to mail the return in.  And Turbo Tax bills me $25 to file it, then tells me they can't file it.

The information you have provided might be accurate, but doesn't help efile with Turbo Tax.  Ridiculous.

If you are a so called "expert" then please do your due diligence and read the entire thread before replying. Your reply does not address the issue that is discussed in this thread. And oh by the way, this issue was not fixed for two years by TurboTax.
