California EDD Disability payments

Cannot find this online, can the IRS garnish California state  EDD disability payments . Thank you.

Yes they can subject to limitations and other liens ...    https://edd.ca.gov/en/Unemployment/FAQ_-_Treasury_Offset_Program

    Thank you very much, it does not appear the IRS can levy State disability payments from my reading. I know the State can. Maybe I'm missing something.

    The IRS can garnish the bank account into which those disability payments are deposited.


    Yes, thank you.

     

    The disability money is in a Bank of America debit card account authorized by the State.
