AGI from 2019 dual status return

Hi,

I filed dual status return in 2019, so I have both 1040 and 1040NR, then, do I need to put AGI as sum of 1040 and 1040NR AGI or just 1040 AGI number is fine for e-filing ?

Thanks for your help in advance.

It should be the AGI from Form 1040.  I would suggest to try that first.  If it got rejected, enter the one from 1040-NR. Do not add them together.

Another way would be ordering a transcript from the IRS.  Click here:  Get Transcript and select  "Get Transcript Online"

Thanks, Lina2020 !

I got same feedback (put 1040) from my tax preparer of 2019.

BTW, for e-filing, that would not work (1040 NR either), so like others suggested on same subject, I put zero, and got accepted.

Thanks for your reply !
