Paying Ohio tax

TurboTax displayed a screen showing different ways to pay Ohio by using Ohio's online system, credit cards, or by check. The next screen was to pick the method of payment. It allowed me to enter my bank account info and date to pay.  So I'm confused. Will TurboTax pay Ohio using my bank account on the date I specified, or do I need to make the online payment on the Ohio website?

Paying Ohio tax

TurboTax does not pay your State taxes owed, TurboTax transmit your information.  If your return has been accepted then your State will get your debit information and withdraw the amount you specified.  You do not have to pay again Online.

Paying Ohio tax

I am confused by the payment process, as another users said in turbo tax it shows the various methods including a link to the ohio state site to input a payment for taxes, which I did before moving to next turbo tax screen

then next TT screen it looks like turbo tax is going to make the state of ohio payment similar to the federal system of payment. Feels like if I know complete this after completing the same info directly on the ohio state web site I am going to pay 2x .

Should I answer I will mail a check since I paid it on line in the state of ohio system,

Paying Ohio tax

Yes, say you are mailing a check if you paid on-line directly to the state or IRS.    You can pay federal payments directly to the IRS and your state tax has to be paid to your state's tax collector.   Two separate payments must be made if you owe both federal and state tax.  @mikelenkay
