Non resident form for KY question

I have lived in WV the whole year. I worked in WV, VA, and KY. I get WV taxes took out of my KY paycheck but when I go to file a non resident form it has two options. Non Resident and Non resident reciprocate form. I am unsure on the regualr non resident which it suggest i use and that i use for my VA return . It asks enter the portion of the following income items (my full income annual amt) were earned or incurred in KY, OR while you were a  resident of KY. Do I enter my amt that I earned while working in KY or do I put zero because I never lived in KY

Non resident form for KY question

It depends.  West Virginia has reciprocal agreements with both Virginia and Kentucky, so if you did not have taxes taken out to either Kentucky or Virginia, you do not need to file a tax return for that state at all.  So, you won't need to file a KY return for sure.  A reciprocal agreement says that even though you worked in KY, they will treat you like you worked in WV and not tax you.

You do not mention Virginia, but the situation is the same there.  If VA tax was taken out of your income, you will file a Virginia nonresident reciprocal return and they will return all of the state tax you paid to Virginia.  However, you will need these taxes back because all of your income is taxed in WV.
