Let's try a couple things. If you are out of the country, NJ wants to mail you the check. Otherwise, direct deposit is preferred. If you are in the US:
- go back to your personal section and make sure your address is correct. Possibly delete and re-enter to make sure no ghost data is there.
- Go back to the end and see if you can choose direct deposit for your refund.
- If no, go back to your NJ state return and switch it to full year and right back to part-year. This might force the connection.
- Try again to use direct deposit.
- If you are using desktop, the next step is forms mode to get the refund.
