I've got the same issue as well, thought I was going crazy.
Same issue here. I attempted to e-file anyway since I do not have a business alternative income tax credit on my forms but like others here It would not file
I am having the same issue. How do we find someone to get this resolved? New to this site.
Yes. I'm seeing the same thing this morning. driving me nuts trying to figure out where its coming from. Does not apply to me.
Yes, I get the same error message. Must be a bug in TT because line 62 on the NJ-1040 is zero.
Be careful of ignoring the message and going ahead and filing. After I printed a copy for final review, I saw that TT erroneously indicated the following were part of what I was about to submit:
Federal extension filed.
The address above is a foreign address.
Your address has changed.
Death certificate is enclosed.
I authorize the Division of Taxation to discuss my return and enclosures with my preparer
NJ-1040-O is enclosed.
TO BE CLEAR, these are erroneous. Among other things, I am not dead.
Same issue, unreal how this was overlooked on their end.
I got in touch with an agent and they said they were reporting it to programming. Unacceptable.
hmmmm Given NJ efile refunds process take 4 weeks; and 12 weeks if manual/mailed, one might wonder whether NJ State asked TT to "hold things up a bit if a refund is due"
I am getting the same issue. I was able to file my federal return, but the system said I needed to wait until Feb 17th to file the NJ state return because of a form from NJ was not into TT yet. Maybe NJ hasn't sent the form to TT yet?
I also have same issue. I guess I will still wait to file as I should be able to efile as well as this issue does not apply to me. I employed and have no business income that should have triggered this. I hope someone will update us when this issue is solved!
Exactly the same situation as every body here, update after 2/17, then the warming showed up. TurboTax agents please take a look.
Same issue but I have been retired for 22 years and aside from some investing activity which TT said I needed the form for but had to wait to file. Form available today but says I can not e file. No actual business expense or income. NO Business.
Did you have any Qualified Business Income? I earned $0.71 from a nondividend distribution from a REIT stock I own via my Robinhood brokerage account. This allowed me to get the Qualified Business Income Deduction of $2 on my federal return. The federal form for this deduction is called the 8995 form. Was this a form on your federal tax return? My guess is this is why I am running into this issue with my NJ state return.
I didn't have a Form 8995 as part of my Federal return.
